The Experience Begins with a Photo

A portrait drawing does not begin with a pencil.

It begins with a person.

It begins with a photo that makes you pause because the face in that picture still means something to you.

That is why my portrait drawing class is not just about learning lines, shading, and facial features.

It is about learning how to slow down with a photo of someone you love.

It is about seeing the expression, the memory, the small details, and the story behind the face.

When you draw someone who matters to you, the process becomes personal.

You are not only making art.

You are creating a portrait that can live in your home, remind your family of someone special, and be passed down with meaning.
